Jingle and Mingle Fashion Show

CANONSBURG — November 16, 2024 Nearly 400 people enjoyed a new holiday event Saturday that raised money for charitable care for residents who live at Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s Washington campus.

The Jingle and Mingle Fashion Show took place on November 16, 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn – Southpointe and was supported by a dedicated volunteer committee who oversaw all planning for the event.

The event featured a runway fashion show, gift and basket raffle, pop-up shops and festive cocktails. Fashions were modeled from local retailers including The Frog N Princess, Trendy, Opal Rose Clothing Boutique, and Pasquale Custom Tailor. KDKA reporter Erika Stanish emceed the event.

“Our Fashion Show was designed to captivate and inspire, making it the must-attend event of the season,” said Jacqueline S. Flanagan, Executive Director of the Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation. “It’s not just a fundraiser, it’s a celebration of style, community and goodwill.”

The Foundation had previously hosted the Your Holiday Home event for 15 years, and decided on a new format this year to further its nonprofit mission to provide charitable care for older adults who live in Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s care communities. Previous events had raised more than $300,000 for the Washington campus.

“As a nonprofit, mission-driven provider of living and care options, the funds raised for Presbyterian SeniorCare Network ensure that no one will ever be asked to leave one of our care communities because of inability to pay,” Flanagan said.

Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s Washington campus serves more than 500 older adults daily and provides a full continuum of service and living options, including:

  • A personal care community, Southminster Place.
  • A skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, Southmont.
  • An assisted living community, Woodside Place of Washington, which specializes in dementia care. This opened in 2020 and became Washington County’s first freestanding dementia-specific assisted living community.
  • Senior condominiums and the Bellmead Apartments affordable housing community, which has an on-site primary care health clinic.
